FAQ
No. A chatbot waits for you to open it. A Companion holds persistent memory of the people, places and objects in your life, expresses emotion, and shows up across the things you already own — your phone, a plant, a pet, a game creature. You don’t start a session with it; it’s simply present.
No. The Companion starts on your phone or tablet. If you want it embodied — giving a plant a voice, or translating what your pet needs — it connects to off-the-shelf sensors and devices that already exist. We don’t require you to buy proprietary hardware to get the full experience.
Phone and tablet first. Then plant sensors, pet collars and feeders, everyday objects, ambient home devices, wearables, and an in-app game creature you raise over time. The same Companion carries across all of them — one memory, many forms.
The Kids & Learning edition is built parent-first: parental controls, a parent view of everything your child explored, careful handling of anything the camera captures, guardrails around other people’s faces, and COPPA-aligned compliance. Parents approve before children explore.
That’s the risk we designed against from day one. The Companion is built for healthy attachment, not dependency — it consistently nudges you back toward real people, real plans and your actual community. A Companion that replaced your relationships would be a failed product, not a successful one.
The Companion isn’t publicly available yet. It’s subscription-based, with embodied editions available as a device plus subscription, and we’ll announce pricing when we open access. Join the waitlist and you’ll hear before anyone else — waitlist members get first access and founding-member pricing.
